Kikuchi- Double Coverage

Yusei Kikuci news is in such high demand that Nippon Cultural Broadcasting has assigned two female reporters to cover Kikuchi- Ai Handa and Kaori Arima. What a stud! Here in the states, we’ve got Erin Andrews of ESPN, but not even the Yankees’ Jeter and A-Rod have even one reporter-babe solely assigned to them.

In other Kikuchi news, Yusei Kikuchi and the team’s other five 2009 draft prospects held a morning practice session on Friday. They worked out for about 2 hours. (Kikuchi played a game of catch: 106 throws.)

…Yonex apparently sent Kikuchi some training apparel (about 80 items) after he asked if he could wear their clothes. While Yonex is a fairly visible in golf and badminton, it doesn’t have much of a presence in baseball.

…Seems the Lions are now leaning towards entering Kikuchi’s name in the registry as “Yusei” instead of “Yusei Kikuchi.” They apparently think “Yuisei” has more of an impact and is easier to remember and say.
