CNN announced that CNNj (CNN for Japan) will be broadcasting a special Talk Asia program on Yu Darvish sometime in September. The program itself will be broadcast in over 200 different countries.

The program was shot during a 1 hour interview taken at Sapporo Dome in June. Some of the topics that were covered: the kinds of pressures he feels / faces from being considered the ace of Japan; his future dreams; and a message to young, aspiring baseball players.

When a person connected to the show was asked whether or not there was any discussion about Darvish and his potential future in the MLB they said, “That may have come up, but I don’t really know all the details.” As if they’d actually spill the beans.

No information about when the program will air, but I’ll be sure to try and keep everyone that reads this blog informed about that.

Talk Asia has covered other famous Japanese people like Hideki Matsui and J-pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki in the past.
